This Privacy Policy explains how Outbuiltit Technologies ("Outbuiltit", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal data. It covers both our website and Outbuiltit, our WhatsApp booking, enquiry, and AI-assistant product for beauty parlours and salons. By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described here.
1. Who we are
Outbuiltit Technologies is a software product company based in Chennai, India, founded in 2026 by Deepak Ramesh. We build and operate Outbuiltit, a platform that helps beauty parlours and salons answer customer enquiries, book appointments, and send reminders over WhatsApp. You can reach us at hello@outbuiltit.com for any privacy-related question or request.
2. Scope & our two roles
We handle personal data in two distinct roles:
- As a controller for data about the parlours and businesses that subscribe to Outbuiltit and for visitors to our website.
- As a processor for the WhatsApp conversations of end-customers who message a parlour's WhatsApp number. We process that data on behalf of the parlour, which decides why and how it is used. If you are an end-customer with a question about your data, please contact the parlour you messaged; we will assist them in responding.
3. What data we collect
From parlour clients who subscribe:
- Business name, address, and the WhatsApp number you connect.
- Contact details of the owner or staff (name, phone, email).
- Billing information needed to process your subscription (handled by our payment processor — we do not store full card details).
- Service configuration you provide, such as your service list, prices, staff lanes, and operating hours.
From end-customers who message a parlour's WhatsApp (processed on behalf of that parlour):
- WhatsApp phone number and profile name.
- The content of messages sent to and from the parlour.
- Appointment and enquiry details (services requested, dates and times, notes).

4. How WhatsApp data is handled
Outbuiltit is built entirely on the official Meta WhatsApp Business Platform (the WhatsApp Business Cloud API). All WhatsApp messages are subject to Meta's and WhatsApp's own terms and policies in addition to this policy. We want to be specific about a few things:
- We do not use unofficial, modified, or scraped WhatsApp libraries of any kind.
- We do not sell personal data, and we do not use end-customer message content to train third-party advertising models.
- We only access message content to deliver the service the parlour has asked us to run — answering enquiries, booking appointments, and sending messages the customer has opted into.
5. Why we process data
- To answer service and course enquiries on a parlour's behalf.
- To book, reschedule, and cancel appointments.
- To send appointment reminders and broadcasts or offers that the recipient has opted into.
- To generate and process payment links for the parlour's services.
- To operate, secure, support, and improve our products.
- To process subscriptions and meet our legal and tax obligations.
6. Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers that help us run Outbuiltit, and only as processors acting on our instructions:
- Meta (WhatsApp) — to send and receive messages through the WhatsApp Business Platform.
- Payment processors (for example, Razorpay) — to handle subscription billing and customer payment links.
- Hosting and infrastructure providers — to store data and run the application securely.
We may also disclose data where required by law or to protect our rights, safety, or property.
7. Data retention & security
We retain personal data for as long as it is needed to provide the service to the relevant parlour and to meet our legal obligations. When a parlour ends its subscription, we delete or anonymise the associated end-customer data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to keep it longer. We protect data with access controls, encryption in transit, and the principle of least privilege — only the people and systems that need access have it.
8. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, email us at hello@outbuiltit.com. If your request concerns data we process on behalf of a parlour (end-customer WhatsApp data), we will forward it to that parlour and help them act on it.
9. Messaging consent & opt-out
Marketing messages, broadcasts, and offers are sent only on an opt-in basis, in line with Meta's WhatsApp Business Policy. Parlours are responsible for obtaining end-customer opt-in before messaging them. You can opt out of broadcasts at any time by replying to stop, or by asking the parlour or us to remove you. Service messages directly related to a booking you made (such as a reminder for an appointment you requested) may still be sent.
10. Cookies & website analytics
Our website uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it. This sets cookies and collects usage data such as pages viewed and device type. You can block cookies in your browser settings without losing access to the site's core content.
11. Children's data
Outbuiltit is a business tool and our website is aimed at business owners. Our services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated to subscribing parlours where appropriate.
13. Governing law
This policy is governed by the laws of India.
